{"id":3153,"date":"2022-05-23T11:01:57","date_gmt":"2022-05-23T11:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/2022\/05\/23\/the-ritual-of-intentionalism\/"},"modified":"2022-05-23T11:01:57","modified_gmt":"2022-05-23T11:01:57","slug":"the-ritual-of-intentionalism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/2022\/05\/23\/the-ritual-of-intentionalism\/","title":{"rendered":"The Ritual of Intentionalism"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One thing is clear, we all feel that the Covid pandemic robbed us of time \u2013 time with our loved ones, time to visit new places, time to continue with our normal routines \u2013 so following two very disrupted years, has time become the ultimate commodity?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pandemic afforded us all with a moment to reflect, to declutter and we now recognise a renewed sense of \u2018glass half full\u2019, of grabbing every opportunity to make new memories as we settle back into the normal rhythm of life.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It seems therefore, that for the modern consumer &#8211; accruing moments of time is the ultimate luxury.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, when it comes to brands and products, who and what are the innovators in this space?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1048\" height=\"1112\" src=\"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_002.png\" class=\"wp-image-1455\" srcset=\"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_002.png 1048w, https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_002-650x690.png 650w, https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_002-850x902.png 850w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1048px) 100vw, 1048px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Firstly, we look to the world of neuroscience, which has entered the realm of interior design to help create products and spaces that offer the ultimate environment for meditative relaxation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">US startup Resonate, for example comprises of a lounge chair, goggles and headphones and provides full body vibrations, sound, and light to soothe the nervous system and guide the mind into a deeper level of consciousness.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, meditation tool Reflect Orb provides the user with a \u2018personal companion\u2019 which can be paired with music, concentrated breath, or a guided meditation. The orb \u2018breathes\u2019 into different colours to help users better understand their path to relaxation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1764\" height=\"836\" src=\"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_003.png\" class=\"wp-image-1456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_003.png 1764w, https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_003-650x308.png 650w, https:\/\/content.theoneoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/TOOHBM_TheRitualOfIntentionalism_003-850x403.png 850w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1764px) 100vw, 1764px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this consideration for taking five has also had a huge influence over the hospitality industry \u2013 a large number of major hotel brands are now baking wellness into their offering, providing customers with opportunity to truly appreciate time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Four Seasons in New York for example, now employ \u2018resident healers\u2019 and guests can enjoy a clairvoyant reading, crystal therapy or sonic alchemy sessions as part of their stay.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, moving forwards \u2013 how do we serve this customer?
